DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW

The Survey Validator Department ensures the accuracy, reliability, and integrity of survey data by overseeing design, testing, and validation processes. It plays a critical role in research, policymaking, and data-driven decision-making within MJ Quinn.



JOB OBJECTIVE

As a Survey Validator, you will be responsible for supporting the Survey Manager in delivery of our Openreach projects and will be responsible for the Test Rod and Rope (TRR) crews ensuring they are working efficiently, safely and delivering the most cost-effective solution to deliver the Openreach fibre network. You will also be responsible liaising with Openreach to feedback any changes that are needed to the smart survey.



KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Working as part of a team to deliver projects on time and to a high standard.
* To always promote a positive and professional image of the department by adhering to company policies, procedures, and standards.
* Raising and following up on non-conformance reports, to ensure that any actions identified, pursued, and resolved.
* Work safely and responsibly within MJ Quinn’s values and operational policies, procedures, and accepted behaviours to avoid harm to yourself, those around you and our neighbours and communities.
* Accurate reporting of Survey/TRR progress to the Project Manager and client.
* Attend meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
* Continuously working to improve efficiencies and processes to ensure that build is completed in the most cost-effective manner.
* Ensuring that all engineers accreditations are kept up to date and relevant to job role.
* Weekly review & capture of KPI data to manage crews’ performance.
* Daily engagement with Openreach to ensure that all survey/TRR information is captured and ensuring that all SLAs are met.
* Ensuring that all relevant TRR techniques are used, and all attempts are made to avoid civils prior to submitting A55.
* Ensure that any survey submitted, meet the OR 650 policy standards.
* To ensure TM requirements & compliance is managed across all survey activities as required.
* Ensuring the timely and accurate flow of information/documentation between the Planner and the Subcontractors / DL resource
* Ensuring a robust auditing regime is carried out in line with MJQ Quality team.
* To work closely with the Survey Manager to ensure delivery & compliance across all aspects of the contract.
* Any ad-hoc duties as requested by the line manager



PERSON SPECIFICAITON

* Telecommunications Experience (Openreach).
* Excellent understanding of NRSWA/ Street works.
* Able to demonstrate a previous track record of field supervision.
* To be able to provide required accreditations/ certifications at interview stage.
* S11 & S13 accredited surveyor
* 2+ years’ experience working on Openreach PON surveys.
