Who we are
VIVO provides facilities management and accommodation maintenance for the UK military and its partners. VIVO embodies both experience and innovation.
What we do
We put our Customers and Families First. They are the driving force behind everything we do. We drive forward improvements for them to ensure the service they receive, whether reactive repairs or a major project, is completed safely and on time. In order to achieve this, we have 4 core values: open, caring, agile and collaborative. These are at the heart of everything we do.
Contract and Working Hours
* Contract: Full Time, Permanent
* Location: Covering commercial properties across RAF Lakenheath (IP27 9PP), RAF Feltwell and RAF Mildenhall, Brandon, Suffolk
* Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with a on call rota of 1 week in 5 (with standby fee and on call payments)
Responsibilities
Working within a team of 8 other electricians, your primary responsibility will be undertaking planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on commercial and single occupancy dormitory buildings, to ensure that the electrical systems within the properties are safe for continued use and compliant under legislation. You will also react to call ins, which may include tasks such as minor new works and installations, such as plug sockets, emergency light checks and distribution board checks.
As you will be working in commercial properties, you will interact with the occupants day to day, so it is ideal that you have worked in a customer‑facing role previously.
To cover emergency call outs during non‑core hours you will participate in an on‑call rota and will be provided with a work van that can be privately taxed for personal use.
Qualifications
It is essential that you hold a City & Guilds Parts 1 & 2 in Electrical Installation, and have previously undertaken works in a commercial environment. It is highly desirable that you also have experience doing Fixed Wire Inspections in a commercial context. You will need to have passed your C&G 18th edition.
This role will include travel within multiple locations so you must hold a full, clean UK driving licence. A company van will be provided for business use.
Although there are 8 electricians on the team, you will predominantly be lone working, so you must be independent and self‑motivated. As this will be a customer‑facing role, you must have good communication skills.
It is desirable that you have experience operating within either an MOD or Construction/Property Maintenance environment.
You must be able to pass BPSS Clearance to be considered for this role.
Benefits
* Up to 6% contributory pension scheme
* 25 Days annual leave
* Volunteer leave
