About The Role
Every day, National Grid delivers safe and secure energy to homes, communities, and businesses — and the technology behind that is powered by our IT & Digital teams. As an Associate I&O Engineer, you’ll be part of a global, customer-focused team that plays a critical role in keeping our infrastructure stable, secure, and future-ready. This graduate role is designed to help you build foundational skills across IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, cloud platforms, storage, and end-user devices. You’ll be supported to learn and grow in a fast-paced, agile environment, working with emerging technologies like automation, AI-driven operations, and tools such as co-pilot.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Supporting the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure services.
* Gaining hands‑on experience across cloud, networking, and end‑user computing.
* Learning how to monitor and improve system performance and reliability.
* Collaborating with teams to deliver secure, user‑focused digital solutions.
* Developing skills in automation and AI tools to drive efficiency and innovation.
* Contributing to projects that enable the digital workplace and support our journey to a carbon‑free future.
What You’ll Need to Apply
To be considered for this role, you’ll need to have achieved — or be working towards — at least a 2:2 degree in one of the following disciplines: Cyber Security or a Degree with a significant Cyber Security Module. Enthusiasm to apply your knowledge in a real‑world setting is essential.
Location
This role is based at National Grid House, Warwick. We offer hybrid working, where possible.

We are proud to offer a graduate starting salary of £36,640.
