Overview
NHS Forth Valley are recruiting to their Cyber and Information Security Team. This is a rare opportunity to build and develop skills in an increasingly important sector. Based within the Information Governance Unit, the post holder will help establish and maintain standards as required by the Network and Information Systems Regulation and Data Protection legislation. They will monitor key Cyber Security Systems and Technical controls for NHS Forth Valley and will collaborate with partner organisations on a range of complex and sensitive security issues. They will also contribute to and participate in the development and implementation of policy and strategy documentation as required.
Responsibilities
* Establish and maintain standards as required by the Network and Information Systems Regulation and Data Protection legislation.
* Monitor key Cyber Security Systems and Technical controls for NHS Forth Valley.
* Collaborate with partner organisations on complex and sensitive security issues.
* Contribute to and participate in the development and implementation of relevant policy and strategy documentation.
* Demonstrate a flexible approach to work with excellent presentation, negotiation and facilitation skills and the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
* Travel across the service area as required; access to transport is essential for cross-site working.
* Complete a Level 2 Disclosure Scotland check if appointed.
Qualifications and requirements
* Flexible approach to work with strong communication and facilitation skills.
* Willingness and ability to travel throughout the area of service delivery.
* In-house and external training will be provided with expectation to work towards recognised professional certifications.
