An exciting opportunity has become available for an Automotive Vehicle Technician/Vehicle Mechanic within a main dealer service centre in Birmingham. Our Automotive Client has a need for a Vehicle Technician or Vehicle Mechanic who is motivated and able to work to their own initiative.

Duties
* Carrying out vehicle diagnostics using the latest manufacturer-approved diagnostic equipment
* Performing mechanical and electrical repairs to a high standard
* Supporting and mentoring junior technicians and apprentices
* Liaising with the technical support team and service advisors when required
* Conducting road tests to confirm repair quality and customer satisfaction
* Carrying out routine vehicle servicing and health checks efficiently and accurately
* Advising on additional repair work and providing technical feedback when needed
Requirements
* Minimum NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
* Previous experience in a dealership or independent workshop environment
* Strong diagnostic skills and the ability to work independently or within a team
* Full UK driving licence is essential
* MOT testing accreditation, EV training or manufacturer experience are highly desirable, but not essential
The salary of this role is up to £43,000 basic with OTE of £52,500. Hours of work are a Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm, with Saturday mornings on a rota basis.
