Job Description
This role involves supporting children and young people with social, emotional, and mental health challenges, including those involved in gang affiliation. The school, established in September 2023, supports students aged 5-19 with diverse needs, providing a safe learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Engage with students in the community, providing enrichment and work experience opportunities, especially for those not attending school due to behavioural or mental health issues.
2. Deliver Functional Skills in literacy and numeracy.
3. Travel to students' homes and work with them during activities, with fully subsidised travel expenses.
4. Build strong relationships through mentoring and being a positive role model.
5. Participate in morning and afternoon debriefs at the school site, providing feedback and progress assessments.
Requirements
* An undergraduate degree in Psychology, Criminology, or a related field.
* Knowledge or interest in diverse learning and behavioural needs.
* Good educational background in English and Maths; A Levels preferred.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a caring attitude.
* Flexibility in working patterns.
* Valid driver's license and access to a car are essential.
Additional Information
Salary: £95-105 per day (full-time, 5-day week, 15:00 to 16:15)
Contracts: Full-time, permanent, starting in July or September based on availability.
