About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Band 2 Medical Equipment Library Technician to join our dedicated Medical Equipment Library team within the Clinical Engineering Department of Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
As an indispensable member of a busy team, you will provide Medical Equipment Library support services across the Clinical Engineering department and to the wider Trust. The Clinical Engineering Department manages over 60,000 medical devices used in the hospital and community, ensuring they operate effectively and safely with minimal downtime. The department is compliant with ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 13485:2016 quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide Medical Equipment loans across the Trust, including deliveries, collections, cleaning, and accurate recording of all work undertaken.
* Perform routine, non‑complex maintenance activities, including minor repairs and planned activities directed by management.
* Support the department's goal of ensuring equipment operates effectively and safely with a minimum of downtime.
Eligibility & Immigration
* As per Home Office guidelines, the Trust cannot offer sponsorship for this position.
* This is a full‑time permanent vacancy and cannot be filled by individuals on a Student visa unless they have:
* applied for a Graduate visa; or
* successfully completed their course and have applied for a Graduate visa before the anticipated start date of employment; or
* the Trust has agreed to sponsor them on a Skilled Worker basis, with studies completed within 3 months of the anticipated start date of employment.
