Role Overview:
We are seeking skilled and compassionate Children's Wellbeing Practitioners (CWPs) or accredited counselors to deliver remote, sessional support for children and young people. Practitioners will use evidence-based approaches to help manage common mental health difficulties, such as anxiety, low mood, and behavioral challenges. This flexible role is ideal for qualified or near-qualified professionals seeking to provide meaningful support in a remote capacity.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver evidence-based low-intensity interventions for children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties.
* Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide one-to-one and group support remotely via secure digital platforms.
* Maintain up-to-date and accurate case notes and ensure timely reporting on client progress.
* Collaborate with families, schools, and other professionals to provide holistic and integrated care.
* Work within ethical and professional guidelines as set by regulatory bodies.
* Engage in regular clinical supervision and ongoing professional development.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
* Postgraduate Certificate in Psychological Wellbeing Practice for Children and Young People (CWP) or equivalent.
* Accredited or working towards accreditation with an appropriate professional body (e.g., BACP, UKCP, BABCP, HCPC).
* Mental health first aid or additional relevant training is advantageous.
Experience:
* Experience working with children and young people in a therapeutic or mental health setting.
* Familiarity with delivering interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or other evidence-based approaches.
* Previous experience providing remote or digital mental health support is desirable.
Skills:
* Excellent communication and active listening skills.
* Ability to build rapport and establish trust with children and young people.
* Strong organizational and time-management skills.
* Proficiency with digital platforms and remote working tools.
Other Requirements:
* Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
* Access to a secure and private workspace for remote sessions.
* Flexibility to work sessionally, including evenings or weekends if required.
