The Role
We’re looking for a talented and motivated Sous-Chef to join our team and support our Executive Chef in leading day-to-day kitchen operations. This is a hands-on role involving food preparation, team supervision, and ensuring smooth delivery of both on-site and off-site events.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the Executive Chef in planning and executing seasonal, client-focused menus
* Oversee food preparation and presentation to maintain consistent quality
* Lead kitchen operations in the Executive Chef’s absence
* Supervise and mentor junior kitchen staff during service
* Assist with stock control, ordering, and cost management
* Ensure full compliance with food hygiene, health, and safety standards
* Participate in off-site event prep, setup, and service
* Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment
Requirements
* Minimum 1 year of experience as a Chef de Partie or Sous-Chef, ideally within outdoor catering or events
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment
* Strong organisational and multitasking skills
* Solid understanding of food safety and kitchen operations
* Valid UK work permit/right to work in the UK
* Flexibility to work Monday–Friday, with occasional weekend shifts
* Full UK driving licence
* Fluent or competent spoken English
