We are partnering with a highly specialised UK engineering organisation operating at the forefront of the defence, security, and advanced industrial sectors. With sustained investment, a significant order book, and the commissioning of a new manufacturing facility, the business is entering a critical phase of growth. As part of this, we are seeking an Electrical Control & Instrumentation Manager to take ownership of site-wide electrical, controls, and automation capability.EC&I Manager£75,000 - £85,000 + Pension, Healthcare, Employee AssistanceAyrshireRef: 25373EC&I Manager - The Role:This is a pivotal leadership role with full technical and operational responsibility for electrical infrastructure and industrial automation across a complex, safety-critical environment.You will play a central role in:Shaping and delivering the sites automation and controls strategyLeading a multidisciplinary engineering team, building capability and driving performanceDelivering high-value CAPEX programmes across electrical and automation systemsEnsuring the integrity, compliance, and reliability of HV/LV distribution and control systemsDriving optimisation of PLC and SCADA architecture to support operational excellenceEmbedding robust engineering standards, safety practices, and long-term asset strategiesThis is a rare opportunity to influence the development of a modern manufacturing site at both a strategic and hands-on technical level .EC&I Manager - The Person:We are interested in engaging with high-calibre engineering leaders who combine deep technical expertise with proven leadership in complex environments.You will likely bring:A strong foundation in electrical engineering and industrial automation, including PLC and SCADA systemsExperience operating at a senior level within manufacturing, process, or high-hazard industriesDemonstrated success leading teams and delivering technically complex projectsA thorough understanding of electrical distribution, compliance, and safety frameworksThe credibility and presence to influence stakeholders across engineering and operationsA proactive, solutions-focused approach with the ability to operate effectively in evolving environmentsExposure to regulated environments and safety-critical operations will be advantageous.Located in Ayrshire, this role would be commutable from Irvine, Kilmarnock, Prestwick, Ayr and Glasgow.
