Project: Sky King – Upcoming Documentary Location: Remote (UK or US-based preferred) Duration: Initial 1-month trial, with potential to continue through crowdfunding and post-release About the Project Sky King is an upcoming documentary exploring a young man’s remarkable rise and tragic fall. On 10 August 2018, Richard “Beebo” Russell, a 28-year-old ground service agent, took control of an empty passenger plane from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, flying it solo for over an hour before crashing on Ketron Island. What followed was a media frenzy – headlines, hashtags, and tributes – but behind the story was a self-proclaimed “broken guy” battling unseen struggles with mental health. Featuring interviews with loved ones, home videos, archive news footage, and the original air traffic control recordings, Sky King is a raw, heartfelt examination of the man behind the myth – and a reminder of the importance of mental health awareness.
