Job Summary

If you are passionate about working with children and young people with a Learning Disability who are experiencing poor mental health or emotional dysregulation, we would love to hear from you. We are a highly experienced team of community based clinicians, who love our work, love our team and the families we work with.

You'll be working Monday to Friday visiting young people and families in a variety of settings offering multi disciplinary assessment and interventions as part of agreed care options and interventions. You'll have the opportunity to get involved in our various research and audit projects, participate in team learning events, training as required and service developments.

We'll offer you robust clinical supervision including the opportunity to work with other professionals and share learning, appraisal and CPD for psychology. We have regular psychology meetings, and we are a super supportive team culture of compassion and respect.

In return, you'll need to bring experience from a similar role, lots of commitment, and enthusiasm, and of course, a sense of humour.

For further discussion about opportunities for a Band 7 to 8a developmental role, please contact Keri Lowes.

About Us

We're an NHS community and mental health provider Trust based in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. We deliver community and hospital-based care to improve people's physical and mental health. We also provide specialist support to people with dementia or a learning disability.

We are a people organisation and people matter to us. As part of the team, you'll help support the health and wellbeing of the people who live and visit this beautiful part of the UK.

Over 4,000 people make up the Trust. This includes doctors, nurses, therapists, plus admin and support staff.

We work in people's homes, in community clinics and bases. Some staff work from one of our 13 community hospitals. Our aspiration is to have great people, provide great care, be a great place to work and a great partner.

Approximately 568,000 people live here. A third of people who live in Cornwall are supported by acute hospital services in Devon. As a result, we also work closely with our partners in Devon.
