Job Description
Our client is a dynamic, UK-focused property investment and fund management firm, seeking an ambitious Asset Manager to join the groups London team. They specialise in delivering strong income and capital growth across a diversified portfolio spanning logistics, office, and retail sectors.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the day-to-day asset management of a varied UK commercial property portfolio.
* Develop and execute tailored business plans for each asset, identifying and delivering value-enhancing initiatives.
* Implement rent review and lease renewal strategies, appointing and overseeing external advisors as necessary.
* Liaise with legal counsel on all property-related matters.
* Support the acquisition process by sourcing and analysing new investment opportunities.
* Review existing assets, providing hold/sell recommendations to inform strategic decisions.
* Assist in managing the purchase and sale processes for property transactions.
* Prepare and present quarterly Board reports.
* Work closely with Managing Agents and Finance teams to ensure effective rent collection and service charge management.
* Contribute to the delivery of the company’s five-year strategic plan.
* Oversee service charge budgets, ESG compliance, and health and safety administration.
* Identify and manage refurbishment, energy efficiency, and capital expenditure projects.
* Maximise rental income and minimise vacancy by actively managing lease events and working closely with letting agents.
* Build strong relationships with tenants and local stakeholders to uncover opportunities and mitigate risks.
Background & Experience
* MRICS qualified.
* Background 2–3 years’ post-qualification experience from private practice and up to 3–5 years’ post-qualification experience in a client-side asset management role.
* Proven track record of executing asset management initiatives and creating value.
* Highly proactive, hands-on approach with a "can-do" attitude.
* Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in Argus Enterprise and Excel.
* Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead meetings and negotiate effectively.
* Collaborative team player, capable of working independently and flexibly within a professional environment.
* Diligent, detail-oriented, and hardworking.
