Overview
Supervises a team of employees who receive telephone calls from customers or potential customers and also has their own workload. Responsible for the daily activity of call center policies and procedures. Ensures quotas for service volume and timeliness are met. Familiar with a variety of insurance sales concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. How you'll make an impact In this role, you will be managing a team of 8 Renewals Consultants who are all currently performing to an impressive standard! Some of your main responsibilities will be to: Motivate and encourage the morale of the team, proactively managing all employee relation issues, ensure team efficiency and employee engagement. Develop and monitor progress towards targets, review branch profitability and share with senior management. Coach the team to be able to upsell additional products to hit monthly sales targets. Carrying out regular one-to-one and team meetings to provide coaching, feedback, support and set individual career pathways. Utilising data to ensure accurate performance management is carried out and relayed back to the individuals in the team. To hit financial targets, ensuring the team are sticking to the budget lines. Carrying out team audits to ensure the team are paying close attention to detail (ie. following scripts) To empower the team with knowledge of the products and policies. About You Skills and Experience Required: Robust knowledge of SME and Commercial insurance, with a proven track record of working well within this environment. Extensive experience with SME and Commercial placement. CII qualification preferred. Must have experience using Acturis. Regulatory awareness and ability to work to FCA guidelines. Previous experience managing, leading, or supporting a team is preferred. Able to interpret data with accuracy and present findings articulately. Committed to learning and developing industry knowledge pursuing standards in excellence. Strong communication skills. Can display a sales driven and motivational attitude. An approachable and open-minded management style with a genuine desire to help their team thrive. Excellent communication skills and the ability to listen, coach, mentor and support colleagues.
