Aircraft Parts Treatment and Inspection Technician
Magellan Aerospace is seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as an Aircraft Parts Treatment and Inspection Technician. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
1. Verifying parts against the job card for accuracy.
2. Loading and unloading parts onto jigs manually, using cranes or forklift trucks.
3. Processing aircraft parts through various treatment processes such as chromic anodising.
4. Visually inspecting parts for damage and to confirm successful treatment processes.
5. Interpreting and following engineering drawings and SOPs independently.
6. Proactively suggesting process improvements, especially with new product introductions within customer specifications.
7. Addressing quality issues and collaborating with quality, production, and engineering teams to enhance quality.
8. Escalating non-conforming products to the team leader.
9. Supporting root cause analysis and corrective actions for problem-solving.
10. Participating in daily SQCDP meetings and providing necessary feedback.
11. Carrying out load plans within specified timeframes to meet sales targets.
12. Ensuring calibration of monitoring and measuring equipment before use and escalating any out-of-calibration issues.
13. Maintaining high standards of 6S and suggesting improvements.
14. Performing operations safely, considering own and others' safety, and disposing of waste properly.
Minimum Qualifications:
* At least 5 GCSEs or equivalent, including Maths & English.
* Forklift/combi lift or crane license is advantageous.
Experience:
* Manufacturing of aerospace parts, including treatments.
* Experience working in shifts.
