What working at Fort Kinnaird is like

" I really enjoy coming to work with the team at Fort Kinnaird, it has been fantastic to build up a trusting, working relationship with each and every one of them over the last three years. The whole clinical team is composed of experienced vets and RVNs. Therefore, the standard of care shown towards clients and their pets is second to none. We work hard but within a fun and proactive environment and the support team are always there to help you when needed. I have always felt supported and part of the team and as a locum vet I think this says it all!"

What Makes Us Different

1. Team spirit is everything – we’ve carefully curated a friendly team and a welcoming workplace where people support each other, listen, and have a laugh.
2. Diverse and collaborative team environment – our vets bring unique strengths across surgery, dentistry, and imaging, so there’s always someone to bounce ideas off.
3. Skilled, supportive nursing team – our RVNs are experienced, proactive and genuinely part of the clinical conversation.
4. Efficiency that works – we respect each other’s time and run smoothly thanks to a capable nursing team and sensible diary management.
5. Plenty of time to do things properly – with 25-minute consults and build-in catch up time
6. Access for all – we believe vet care should be available to every pet, so we offer payment plans to make treatment more accessible.
7. Supportive leadership – our leadership team is hands-on, approachable, and genuinely want to hear new ideas that work and get us to where we want to be.
8. Points of contact – we hold weekly vet meetings and utilise a digital platform for all our discussions, collaborations and general communications.
9. Work-life balance built in – with longer working days and a smart rolling rota, you get more full days off to rest, recharge, or explore Edinburgh.
10. Regular team events in the year – to bring us all together and get away from it all.
