Job Description
Overview:We’re seeking an experienced bookkeeper to support our bookkeeping department. This role is ideal for someone confident in managing a range of client bookkeeping tasks and VAT return preparation, with occasional involvement in management accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
* Preparing VAT returns for multiple clients
* Daily and monthly bookkeeping using software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage
* Reconciling bank statements and accounts
* Assisting with management accounts preparation when needed
* Liaising directly with clients regarding records and queries
Requirements:
* Proven experience in a bookkeeping role within a practice or business environment
* Solid understanding of VAT and bookkeeping principles
* Proficient in cloud accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage)
* Strong organisational and communication skills
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines
