: We are currently recruiting for a fantastic opportunity as a Product Improvement Engineer operating on the AW101 platform, working within our Product Support Engineering team. The focus of the position will be managing all related in-service support and improvement activity for an aircraft mechanical, electrical and avionic system. You will also be responsible for leading all the technical coordination of the AW101 product improvement, as well as implementing all variants including; investigating, resolving and preventing all technical issues, communicating with all internal and external key stakeholders, and providing support to the technical, maintenance and corrosion working groups. Please note that this role is a JFF Level 5 (Engineering) What you will be doing as a Product Improvement Engineer; Provide technical coordination for the assessment and implementation of product improvements, with a focus on delivery of technical solutions for implementation and embodiment via the In-Service Support Continuous Improvement Process Timely project control and escalation of risks to achieve schedule and cost Support customer Program Reviews as required, including User Group conferences, Corrosion Working Groups and Technical & Maintenance Working Groups, by providing and or delivering reports, briefs and presentations, as deemed necessary Preparation of Advanced Provisioning (AP) Requests and Company Work Orders (CWO) Efficient and timely resolution of predominantly technical in-services issues to maximise aircraft availability Considerations when dealing with in-service topics must include, but not limited to: Future prevention, Cross platform application and implementation Identification and resolution management of focused problem areas, which may lead the establishment of temporary Working Groups, such as Damage Limits and Repair Improvements Occasional travel to the customer's maintenance facilities to support the various working groups, to engage with the operator and collaborate to share knowledge and ideas Undertake the technical interface role with Vendors and OEMs for Product Support Engineering, including representing Leonardo Helicopters at agreed and regular OEM Working Groups, as required Arrange funding via customer tasked activities or company PV; through the preparation of sanctions and business cases What we need from you; Educated to at least HNC level in a relevant subject, ideally an Engineering related topic. Alternatively, to have completed a recognised engineering apprenticeship An understanding of ILS analysis techniques and their individual/combined effect on through life cost and asset and aircraft availability Knowledge of AW101 technical publications, engineering and helicopter systems and experience of helicopter operations/support Knowledge of the engineering, quality processes, operating procedures, drawing systems and digital products Good level of computer literacy Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, the ability to make sound technical assessments/judgements based on knowledge and experience, self-motivated and able to work as part of an integrated team Security Clearance You must be eligible for full security clearance.
