Your new role
I am working exclusively with this great business in Sheffield. Your role will be to support the Human Resources Manager in providing excellent service on all matters involving the management of people across the site.
Assisting in the recruitment of employees, writing adverts, liaising with agencies, conducting interviews and selection processes.
* Inducting new employees and maintaining the starter paperwork and employment contracts
* Organisation of meetings, training, interviews etc.
* Maintaining the business skills matrix
* Absence management
* Keeping files and systems up to date
* Taking statements in meetings, grievance, disciplinary and other meetings as required
* Confirming outcome of meetings in writing as required
* Management of resources required by new starters and other employees, such as branded clothing, shoes etc.
* HR projects as required
This role might suit a person recently qualified who is looking to take the first step into Human Resources. It is a generalist role and allows for a very broad introduction. Hours of work are 8.15 am to 4.30/4 pm Monday to Friday (37 hours) and will be site-based.
What you'll need to succeed
We are looking for a candidate with a positive attitude, a people person, resilient and someone who can show empathy for staff at all levels. You may even want to do this job in four days, which is fine. This will be an incredibly busy job, so you need to have worked in a fast-paced environment and thrive when under a bit of pressure.
