This is a health and wellbeing-focused role in a low-risk but high population setting, where creating a positive culture matters just as much as meeting compliance standards. You will work closely with academic teams, Estates, People and Culture, Student Services and external partners to ensure our site remains a safe, welcoming space for all. This role suits someone who can balance hands-on support with strategic oversight.**Job Overview**Lead and promote a positive health, safety and wellbeing culture across the college.Review and maintain the H&S Policy, arrangements and oversee the college’s key risk registerDevelop and update risk assessments with staff, including special assessments for trips, events and vulnerable individuals.Oversee day-to-day site safety: contractors, visitors, canteen, traffic management, and site maintenance.Manage fire safety: fire risk assessment, equipment checks, drills and emergency planning.Conduct incident investigations, complete RIDDOR reporting, and deliver and embed lessons learned.Carry out regular site inspections compliance audit of Safety Management System and performance.Oversee first aid provision, compliance training and DSE assessments.Provide clear H&S reports to SLT and Governors and keep up to date with changes in UK H&S legislation.**Job Requirements**Experience in H&S management, ideally in education or a similar people-focused environment.NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent).A collaborative communicator with an inclusive health and well-being led approach and strong organisational skills.**Job Details***The position is initially offered as a 60% FTE PART TIME role (3 days a week) on a PERMANENTcontract,and it attracts an actual salary of £26,304.41 (£43,840.96 FTE)**Shortlisting will take place on 6th January 2026.**Interviews will be held the week beginning 12th January 2026.*The Collegeoperatesa Sixth Form College academic year and therefore the Autumn Term begins in late August to allow for enrolment activities.Please be aware that St David’s College reserves the right to close any vacancy earlier then the listed date if we have receiveda high levelof applications.
