Your Role & Responsibilities
In this leadership role, you will ensure the welfare, safety, and development of children in your care while managing the home’s day-to-day operations and long-term direction. You’ll be supported by a strong leadership framework that values professional growth and collaboration.
Key responsibilities include:
Ensuring full compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations (England) 2015
Leading and motivating a care team to deliver nurturing, high-quality support
Managing care plans, risk assessments, and safeguarding procedures
Overseeing budgeting, property maintenance, and staff development
Building strong relationships with families, external agencies, and internal teams
Working toward and maintaining a Good or Outstanding Ofsted rating
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for a confident, organised leader with a strong understanding of safeguarding, compliance, and residential care operations.
Candidate requirements:
Minimum 2 years’ leadership experience in a children’s residential setting
Knowledge of child protection and regulatory standards
Excellent communication and team leadership skills
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (or willingness to complete within 2 years)
Enhanced DBS clearance and satisfactory references
Salary: £45,000–£48,000 per year
