We are uniquely addressing a broad range of customer demands in security, including SOC & Security Operations, Secure DevOps, Data Privacy compliance and Identity Governance

We have an interesting and rewarding opportunity for experienced Pre Sales Consultant who is interested in Application Security and has a strong desire to become an expert in the Micro Focus Fortify solutions. The Fortify Application Security Pre Sales provides support and assistance to drive achievement of application security sales targets across the designated region, is ready to learn and works hard towards achieving Application Security Engineer expert level.

The role will need software developer background along with excellent communication and presentation skills. The role will be responsible for working with the account teams across the entire appsec solution sales cycle.

Micro Focus is seeking a highly motivated and qualified experience professional for an Application Security Pre Sales covering United Kingdom & Ireland. The role will be based in the United Kingdom. Travelling is required.

As a Micro Focus CyberRes Application Security Pre Sales, you will influence and make the difference to the security roadmaps of our customers, identify their specific needs and propose innovative solutions to support a secure transformation strategy. To be successful, you will need to gain deep understanding of security principles, architectures, competitive products, and security designs.

The CyberRes Application Security Pre Sales role is responsible for

Opportunity analysis and support

* Gathers and assesses customer needs, both business and technical.
* Identifies related needs (lead generation, opportunity expansion).
* Identifies site-specific and corporate parameters and constraints that impact the solution.
* Identifies required project steps.
* Identifies likely problem areas that require attention.
* Identifies probable competition and product roll-out data/training needs and evaluates relative company strengths.
* Product presentations and technical sessions for prospects, customers, and partners
* Live demos of Micro Focus CyberRes Fortify solutions
* Orchestrating successful Proof of Concepts
* Addressing responses to customers' requirements, RF(X)s
* Participate in designing comprehensive security architectures based on customer requirements
* Build and maintain a healthy, positive relationship with key customers and partners, meeting them regularly and keep them up to date with the latest product releases and new features
* Representing Micro Focus at trade shows and events, also as public speaker
* Be a key sparring partner for sales and management

Client/customer relationship.

* Maintains excellent communications with customer representatives across the Region.
* Participates in advancing opportunities through the use of effective consultative selling techniques.
* Builds customer loyalty through being a trusted advisor.
* Partners effectively with others in the account to ensure problem resolution and customer satisfaction.
* Communicates and articulates the details of their component roles in a proposed customer solution.

Team collaboration.

* Actively supports the account team with solution advice, proposals, presentations, and other customer communications.
* Analyzes and provides support to deals in the pipeline where needed.
* Understands the roles and effectively engages other teams and resources within the company and partners.
* Identifies overlooked opportunities suggested by technical expertise.
* Facilitates smooth transition from sales to implementation by orienting the appropriate teams to the solution design.

Knowledge and Skills Required:

* University graduate with degree in Computer Science
* Hands-on experience in application development in one of the following technologies: Java, MS.Net, JavaScript, PHP, Python, Go
* Knowledge of information security and application security fundamentals
* Excellent solution presentation skills. Desire to learn and muster Micro Focus Fortify solutions in Proof of Concept (POC) activities
* Good knowledge of Linux and Windows Operating Systems, databases, networking fundamentals, and container-based deployment technologies
* Ability to communicate the value of the solution. Links company solutions with business needs to create customer business value


Considered as a Plus

* Existing hands-on skills with any Micro Focus Fortify solutions.
* CISSP, CSSLP, CISM, CEH, or CCSK certifications

Education Required:

* University or bachelor's degree; advanced or Masters degree preferred.
