Administrative Support Assistant with The Anstee Bridge Programme

is a creative, alternative provision and outreach service set up within Educational Services to support year 7-11 students, to facilitate better engagement with school. Students who attend Anstee Bridge have social, emotional and mental health [SEMH] challenges and often lack self-confidence and resilience. Anstee builds their confidence and helps them acquire skills through engaging in creative workshops. We are looking to appoint a fixed term (12 months), term time, Administrative Support Assistant to join our Anstee Bridge Provision.

The hours for this post are 28 hours per week: Monday to Thursday 8.30am - 4.30pm (we will also consider 9am - 5pm)
The current working locations for this post are as follows;

1. Guildhall (Kingston) - Tuesdays and Thursdays
2. The Light House (Teddington) - Monday and Wednesdays

Please note the full time salary figures will be pro rata for this part time, term time role.

About the role

You will work closely with and be responsible for providing administrative support for the Head of Service, Katherine Greening to assist in the daily operations of Anstee Bridge. The successful candidate will assist with planning, implementing and evaluating group and individualised programmes of learning for the students.

Some of the key responsibilities will include;

4. Managing and responding to requests from the Head of Service
5. Contributing to the activities run by FAB (Friends of Anstee Bridge Charity), including support generating income for the Charity
6. Managing and maintaining accurate records and databases - ensuring compliance with GDPR
7. Minuting meetings
8. Creating Google Forms
9. Collating and setting up resources for student learning

This role will require an individual with administrative experience who is able to manage a diverse workload. You will be required to have strong organisation skills, the ability to work flexibly and prioritise your work accordingly. Please note that this role is based on site with the students of Anstee Bridge, and there may be times you are asked to support with the delivery of sessions.

About you

The role is fast paced and you will be required to work with a variety of customers in and outside of Achieving for Children. The ideal candidate would need to have the following attributes.

11. Strong organisational abilities including: time management, creative-thinking, problem-solving and multitasking.
12. Works well under pressure and is flexible with their approach to carrying out tasks.
13. Able to make good use of technology to perform functions and ensure work is timely and accurate.
14. Strong administrative skills such as data entry, email management, managing competing priorities, being organised and working well in a team.
15. Strong communication and interpersonal skills that are open and honest
16. Able to use a range of digital hardware or software to support your work effectively i.e. Google
17. Educated to Level 2 [good pass or equivalent] in Maths and English (Essential)
