Key Responsibilities
* Support the class teacher in planning and delivering lessons
* Work with individual pupils or small groups to reinforce learning
* Assist pupils with additional learning needs, including SEN where required
* Help manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
* Prepare classroom resources and maintain a tidy, safe learning environment
* Supervise pupils during break times, lunchtimes, and school activities
* Provide feedback to teachers on pupil progress and development
* Support safeguarding and promote the wellbeing of all pupils
Person Specification
Essential:
* Experience working with children or young people
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work as part of a team
* Patient, caring, and supportive approach
* Basic literacy and numeracy skills
Desirable:
* Relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant)
* Experience working in a school setting
* Knowledge of additional learning needs (ALN/SEN)
