Change Lead Opportunity with the Civil Works Alliance (CWA), Supporting Sizewell C

As part of the CWA (Civil Works Alliance), you will support the building of Sizewell C, a 3.2‑gigawatt low‑carbon power station providing electricity for around 6 million homes over at least 60 years. This role is within the CWA Wide Section.

What will you do?

We are recruiting a Change Management Lead to join the CWA and lead a critical function on this infrastructure project. This senior leadership role involves managing change across one or more sections of Sizewell C to deliver the project with precision, integrity and excellence.

About the opportunity

This role sits within the PMO reporting directly to the Head of Project Controls. You will implement our change management strategy, maintain control across program, design, time and cost while upholding safety, quality and project integrity at every decision point.

What you'll be responsible for

* Lead delivery and governance of the Change Management process across the CWA, ensuring compliance and consistency
* Manage the complete lifecycle of change – from SZC directions and instructions through to compensation events, recovery plans and contingency drawdowns
* Coordinate interrelated changes across sections to maintain program and cost integrity
* Configure and leverage Oracle Primavera Unifier to track, report and manage all change activities
* Develop dashboards, metrics and reporting tools that provide visibility of change performance and trends
* Support strategic decision‑making by integrating cost, time, risk and contract constraints
* Champion HSE and Nuclear Safety as embedded principles in every change decision
* Promote Digital Engineering tools and processes, establishing integrated systems linking BIM data with schedule and budget
* Build and maintain trusted relationships with our client (NNB and EDF), acting as a strategic advisor
* Develop high‑performing teams and drive capability development across the alliance
* Protect the integrity of the CWA's cost and program envelopes

What are we looking for?

Who you are

* A results‑driven leader with 12–15 years leading project controls on complex mega‑infrastructure projects for top international tier 1 contractors
* Qualified to APM PMQ, APMG Project Planning and Control Practitioner level or equivalent (MRISC preferred)
* Expert in contract, cost and EVM systems including PRISM, Unifier and InEight
* Passionate about excellence – willing to go the extra mile and continually search for ways to add value
* A champion for HSE and Nuclear Safety who embeds these principles throughout your work
* A collaborative team player who shares knowledge and empowers others to deliver
* Customer‑focused with the ability to anticipate stakeholder needs and build sustainable relationships
* Adaptable and energized by change, learning quickly and responding positively to evolving demands
* An excellent communicator who achieves clarity and impact in all interactions
* Someone who delivers operational excellence consistently

You will lead change management on a project defining Britain's energy future – delivering clean, reliable electricity for at least 60 years. You will work with innovative teams using cutting‑edge digital systems, supported by a client committed to strategic delivery. This is a role where your expertise directly impacts national infrastructure and meets urgent UK energy needs.

If you’re an experienced change leader ready to drive excellence on a landmark project of genuine national importance, we want to hear from you.

What we will offer you?

The CWA is a single‑delivery organisation made up of the client (Sizewell C) and three parent companies – Balfour Beatty, Bouygues and Laing O'Rourke – which offer industry‑leading packages including market‑leading salaries, generous annual leave entitlements, a pension scheme and other flexible benefits.

Equal Employment Opportunity

We encourage applications from all suitably qualified candidates, regardless of gender, race, disability, age, sexual orientation, gender reassignment, religion or belief, marital status, or pregnancy and maternity.
