The role: As our Electrical Production Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing manufacturing processes for our sophisticated autonomous vessels. You will collaborate with all departments to help problem solve production issues in a timely manner, create and refine designs, oversee the production of our vessels, and ensure that each one meets our high standards for quality and performance.
We are looking for a self-motivated individual with a strong background in electrical engineering and experience in production or manufacturing. You should have a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well in a team environment.
Role responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* To co-ordinate the handover of products from design to production ensuring all relevant documentation and information is to hand.
* Collate build issues and red line drawings to update products.
* To support project managers with production queries and information to help ensure the on-time delivery of projects and any potential risks are minimised during the build process.
* Provide support to engineering with design reviews as required, particularly in the areas of electrical production engineering.
* To liaise with Electrical Production, Purchasing and Engineering on any changes or improvements to avoid potential delays or delivery failures.
* Advise electrical manufacturing on test tooling, jigs and fixture requirements.
* To support the Shop floor on technical problems and engineering issues.
* Raising of Change Requests/ECR’s and advise impacts using our internal JIRA system.
* To support cost reduction of existing products by improving quality, reliability and repeatability through ECRs.
Essential Skills / Qualifications / Experience:
* Experience working in a manufacturing environment (Electrical).
* Competent use of MRP systems (123 Insight), BOM building, routings and approvals.
* Able to understand and interpret electrical drawings.
* Interdepartmental Collaboration. Working across and with different levels within a company.
* Experience with works orders and production routings.
* Investigatory analysis into production errors, drawing errors and part issues.
* And adaptable problem solver.
* Strong communicator across multiple teams and collaborative team player.
Desirable Skills / Qualifications / Experience:
* IPC620.
