Exciting Opportunity: Analysis Engineer (Contract)
Location: Wolverhampton or Warrington (3 days onsite, 2 days remote)
Rate: £50-£60 per hour (Inside IR35)
Duration: 3-month initial contract
Clearance: SC Cleared preferred (British nationals only - no dual citizenship)
Overview
We are recruiting for a Stress/Analysis Engineer to support the delivery of high-integrity mechanical systems within the nuclear sector. Reporting to the Head of Unit - Analysis, the successful candidate will lead and deliver technically compliant analysis packages across the full project lifecycle, from front-end engineering through to detailed design and client handover.
This is a hands-on role requiring strong FEA and classical stress analysis capabilities, with the ability to manage a small team and interface with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage a team of Analysis Engineers and Designers
Deliver design and analysis outputs in line with project scope, budget, and schedule
Perform and verify stress and finite element calculations (static, dynamic, non-linear)
Prepare technical reports, proposals, and documentation for internal and external review
Support manufacturing, testing, and installation of mechanical systems
Ensure compliance with UK H&S legislation, design codes, and company procedures
Collaborate with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve technical challenges
Maintain accurate records to support audits and approvals
Essential Skills and Experience
UK Passport holder (due to SC clearance requirements - no dual nationals)
Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Structural Engineering considered
Experience in the nuclear industry
Strong background in mechanical and structural analysis
Proficient in ANSYS (Classic or Workbench), Mathcad, and Staad.Pro
Working knowledge of Eurocode 3, Crane Codes, and ASME III/VIII
Familiarity with 3D CAD tools (e.g., Pro-Engineer, AutoCAD, Inventor) is desirable
Strong understanding of engineering materials and design standards
