Project Manager
* Project Manager jobs role: pilot plant – greenfield CAPEX project delivery chemical, oil & gas, food, process industries
* Large CAPEX ; you will be project managing the scoping and build of a brand new R&D facility / pilot plant – you must have experience of project managing £5m to £10m size projects
* Experience MUST be in the process industries (CAPEX projects across chemical, plastics, polymer, food, oil & gas, petrochemical, pharma, biotech – possibly with COMAH / REACH type of regs)
* Salary TBC we anticipated £80,000 - £90,000
* Work from home / remote working / Hybrid flexibility. You will spend time in one of the plants near Leeds but then the bulk of the work will be at the new greenfield facility in the North East. You will have good work from home flexibility but MUST be happy to travel

The Project Manager jobs role
* Greenfield CAPEX project management
* Deploy and manage a project management system – including reporting, scheduling, Gantt charts, and progress tracking.
* Lead the design and construction of the plant, from contractor engagement through to commissioning.
* Oversee site activities: safety, budget control, scheduling, and compliance.
* Liaise closely with site engineers and operators on the host manufacturing site, ensuring seamless integration
* Manage contractors, suppliers, and regulatory interactions (COMAH, REACH, waste regulations).
* Navigate ambiguity and problem-solve on the ground when things don’t go exactly to plan.
Your background / what we are we looking for
* Proven experience delivering capital projects (£5m+), ideally in regulated process industries (chemicals, food, oil & gas, pharma).
* Strong track record in greenfield plant builds or major modifications.
* Comfortable working in a fast-moving, less structured environment – able to “make it happen” rather than wait for gate reviews.
* Practical knowledge of regulatory frameworks (COMAH, REACH, environmental, safety) would be beneficial but not essential
* Confident in contractor and supplier management – able to select, challenge, and drive performance.
* Intellectual agility and problem-solving mindset – able to learn fast and adapt on the fly.
* Prepared to travel - likely to Leeds in the first 3 months helping with the pilot plant and understanding the business and then from Q1/Q2 next year spend a good chunk of time in the North East.
