Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Café Manager to oversee the daily operations of our café. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for hospitality, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service in a welcoming environment. The Café Manager will be responsible for managing staff, maintaining food safety standards, and ensuring the smooth operation of food production and service.
Duties
* Supervise and manage café staff, fostering a positive team environment
* Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure quality and consistency
* Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in compliance with regulations
* Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and controlling waste
* Train new staff in culinary techniques, serving practices, and customer service excellence
* Develop menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences
* Handle customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism and care
* Ensure efficient operation of all café equipment and facilities
* Collaborate with the team to create a warm and inviting atmosphere for guests
Experience
* Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within a restaurant or café setting
* Strong culinary experience with knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food production
* Familiarity with hospitality standards and excellent customer service skills
* Previous experience as a barista is advantageous but not essential
* Demonstrated ability to lead a team effectively while managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
* Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices is essential
