Salary: £80,000 - 80,000 per year Requirements: Around 5 years of back-end engineering experience, with at least 3 years in a commercial environment Strong Python skills, with hands-on experience building and running production services Experience with modern web frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or equivalent Solid understanding of Postgres and relational data modeling (schemas, indexing, migrations) Practical AWS experience, including EC2, S3, IAM, and networking fundamentals Fluency with Docker and Docker Compose Responsibilities: Design and build core back-end services in Python (FastAPI) Produce prototypes, including data ingestion pipelines, embedding workflows, and recommendation components Develop high-performance APIs supporting semantic search, clustering insights, and protocol-generation features Deploy, operate, and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS (EC2, S3, RDS/Postgres, OpenSearch) Build robust, scalable ingestion pipelines for clinical and scientific data sources Shape and evolve data models spanning structured data, unstructured text, embeddings, and AI-driven systems Technologies: AI AWS OpenSearch Cloud Docker EC2 FastAPI Flask IAM Python Web More: We are an early-stage MedTech startup based in London, focused on building tools that enhance the design of clinical trials.
