Required Skills Qauntity Sruveying MRICS Pre contract Post contract Project reporting Job Summary Our Client, a leading engineering and design consultancy, is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Leeds, Derby, or Sheffield. Experience - Ideally MRICS qualified or working towards the APC. - Aptitude for a logical approach to problems and work generally. - Confident use of Microsoft Office and other role-related software packages, e.g. CostX. - Market savvy and commercially minded, able to see the opportunity and to develop it. - Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and identify key issues. - Energetic and enthusiastic with a willingness to work independently, whilst also being a strong team player. - Engaging and approachable with strong communication and presentation skills. - Able to inspire, gain trust and motivate. Job Responsibilities Be able to attend offices in either Leeds, Derby or Sheffield for a minimum of 1-2 days per week. Work as part of a team, providing commercial assistance to the client on a day-to-day basis. Carry out both pre- and post-contract work. Assist in the preparation of various classes of estimates based on available design information. Agreement of valuations and site measures with contractors. Produce monthly project reports. Production of reports for client review. Agreement of final accounts. Production of cost estimates. Attend and participate in project meetings. Support the client PM and project team with the management of contracts. Support project reviews and audits. Ability to take ownership of work packages, aspects of projects or projects with minimum supervision.
