ABB Production Planner
Role Overview
As a Production Planner at ABB, you will develop and maintain production schedules to ensure efficient manufacturing operations and on-time delivery. You will work within a small team, collaborating closely with operations, procurement, and production departments.
Responsibilities
* Work model: onsite (#onsite)
* Create production plans for Flexo, Extrusion Machine, and Assembly lines
* Release work orders and place orders with external suppliers
* Create and maintain detailed production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements
* Establish and share best practices for operations planning, inventory management, and resource management
* Attend daily production meetings for areas of responsibility
* Analyze back orders, current orders, and upcoming orders to prioritize, plan, and schedule production
* Monitor adherence to schedule for areas of responsibility
* Monitor raw material and outsourced component stocks
* Develop time‑phased production plans based on demand forecasts and order intake
Qualifications
* Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a planning role within a manufacturing environment (machine shop planning experience desirable)
* Strong IT skills with the ability to accurately input, analyze, and report data
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
* Experience using ERP systems; SAP S/4HANA knowledge considered advantageous
