Title: Calibration Engineer / Metrology Technician (UKAS Laboratory)

Calibration Engineer's Key Responsibilities:
80% of this role will be focused on the calibration of both external customer components and internal manufactured parts under a UKAS ISO/IEC 17025 accredited scope, using documented in-house methods and comparison techniques
• 20% of the role will be to support the Head of Lab with UKAS duties, including certificate checking, administration, and updating processes and procedures where required
• Providing technical support to colleagues as required and ensuring that the lab environment is continuously monitored when it comes to temperature, humidity and general cleanliness Skills & Experience Required as a Calibration Engineer:
Knowledge of UKAS / ISO/IEC 17025 with experience working in an accredited laboratory environment
• Hands-on experience in dimensional metrology and calibration techniques (e.g. comparison methods, height gauges, slip gauges, probing systems, fixtures)
• High attention to detail with a quality focused mindset
• Must have strong communication skills with the ability to work directly with clients and team members
