A really rewarding position has become available for a Youth Mental Health Worker to work in a school in Headington. This is an excellent position to gain really valuable experience whilst also making a huge difference to the lives of vulnerable children.
They place a huge focus on supporting students who have been diagnosed with Autism, and ensure they are being met with the necessary interventions to support their development and education.
As a Youth Mental Health Worker you will directly be involved in helping children manage and cope with their emotions and mental health, regulate their emotions and adopt healthy coping strategies.
Your day-to-day duties will involve supporting and shadowing the class teacher, whilst providing 1:1 support for the SEN students. You will also help run exciting lessons to ensure the classroom is a fun and exciting place. Behavioural management may also be required.
