About the Role
Applications are invited for a senior Biomedical Scientist and Team Leader within Histology. The successful applicant will lead within the main laboratory area, have an active role in training as a training officer for cellular pathology, and involve staff management and procurement assistance for the department.
Responsibilities
* Lead within the main laboratory area and oversee cellular pathology and histology work.
* Act as a training officer for cellular pathology, supporting staff development.
* Manage staff within the department and assist with procurement activities.
* Contribute to the service’s continuous improvement and innovation initiatives.
Qualifications
* Member or fellow of the IBMS.
* HCPC registration with at least 3 years of post‑registration experience.
* Postgraduate qualification in leadership or management highly considered.
Working Hours
Service operates 07:00‑19:00 Monday to Friday and 08:00‑16:00 Saturday and Sunday.
