As the Band 6 Health Advisor you will be reporting to the Lead Nurse of the department, based in Ashwood Centre, St Mary's Hospital in Kettering, Northamptonshire. However, we also operate in smaller spoke sites which include Wellingborough, Corby and Rushden. The post-holder will co-lead on the delivery of the health-advising aspect of the service at the Ashwood Centre Hub site alongside other Health Adviser colleagues based at NGH hub site. There will be responsibility for ensuring that the other members of the nursing team are trained to deliver health advice and that the advice given is consistent. This consistency will require agreements with your counterpart at our Northampton Hub to ensure there is both internal and countywide consistency. The post holder will also lead on the delivery of partner notification and support the service to contact trace to reduce infection. A key relationship to achieving this will be with the Lead for the Coding and Recall Team (CART). The post holder will still fulfil some of the nursing aspects of the generic B6 post if appropriate. There would be an expectation you would train for phlebotomy to flexibly support the clinical services.
