:
Responsible for the day-to-day supervision of all reception staff and associated functions, ensuring all functions are carried out in accordance with agreed procedures, protocols and time-scales, and reporting to the practice manager as necessary. Promote a harmonious and professional atmosphere in this public facing role.

TheArmada Family Practice works from a modern purpose-built health centre with apractice population of circa 17,000 patients.
Our team comprises of: Practice managers, GP Partners, Salaried GPs, Advanced NursePractitioners, FC Paramedics, Practice Community Nurses, Practice Pharmacists,MSK specialist, Practice nurses, HCAs & Health and Wellbeing coaches, and a large administration and reception team.
All ourappointments are booked by our experienced care navigation team who ensure thatpatients are booked in with the right clinicians to help the patient. They usea navigation tool called Sentiers which has been adapted to meet our needs, andour appointment system.

Job responsibilities
Supervisory Role:
1. Induction and training of all new staff to agreed standards
2. Oversee e-learning of all reception staff Ensure adequate staffing levels, approve annual and other leave, and organise rotas ensuring all functions are covered as required
3. Deal with more complex enquiries from patients including informal complaints relating to reception functions
4. Continually assess and evaluate systems and quality, recommending changes and improvements to the practice manager as appropriate
5. Manage day to day issues that may arise within the team or with individuals
6. Regularly evaluate quality of individual and team performance
7. Bi-monthly team meetings Support the annual appraisal process for reception staff
Reception Duties:
8. Deal with general telephone enquiries from patients and general public, Book appointments and home visits, Process requests for emis access to prescriptions, booking and records access

Health and Safety
10. To participate and support H&S standards and documentation under the guidance of the Practice Manager.
11. Maintain records of incidents, reviews and training in fire prevention, health and safety and basic life support.
12. Quarterly reviews of risk assessments.

25. The post-holder will keep abreastof knowledge and legislation changes pertaining to the role. The post-holderwill participate in any training programme implemented by the Practice as partof this employment, such training to include:
