With an impressive pipeline of developments across the region, they’re looking to strengthen their senior leadership team with an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee multiple new live sites.
The Role:
As Contracts Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving build quality, programme performance, and team development across the Aberdeen region as their presence expands in this market. Working as part of a well-supported regional leadership team, you’ll ensure that sites are running safely, efficiently, and in line with company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide mentorship and professional support to Site Managers, conducting formal and informal development sessions.
* Ensure full compliance with health & safety legislation and internal standards across all sites.
* Assist in the tender and selection of subcontractors, and monitor performance in partnership with the commercial team.
* Oversee resourcing and mobilisation for site start-up and ensure progress is maintained throughout the build programme.
* Monitor plot progress and performance, addressing any issues affecting delivery.
* Provide programme dates to support accurate forecasting and legal completions.
* Control and monitor site costs, including labour, materials, and remedial works.
* Maintain quality and compliance to NHBC Standards and Building Regulations.
* Conduct regular quality control inspections and ensure defects are addressed promptly.
* Build strong relationships with other internal departments, suppliers, and external partners.
What We’re Looking For:
We’re seeking an experienced and driven individual with a strong background in site leadership and multi-site management in the housebuilding sector.
You’ll bring:
* Proven experience managing multiple live residential developments.
* Strong track record of delivering key build and cost KPIs across several sites.
* Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to coach and inspire high-performing site teams.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities and site demands.
* A deep understanding of housebuilding construction practices, build regulations, NHBC standards, and H&S legislation.
* Assertiveness to manage trades and subcontractors, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards are met.
* A customer-first mindset and experience dealing with homeowners throughout the build process.
