The Vacancy

The Role
We’re seeking a dynamic Assistant Branch Manager, also known as an Assistant Insite Manager, to join our team at a well-established customer site.

This varied role offers plenty of opportunities to make it your own. You will deliver exceptional customer service and be responsible for driving new business growth.

We support our customers by providing parts, spares, and tooling, and work to secure the best deals with suppliers. The role is commercially focused, involving developing relationships with engineering, procurement, and facilities managers, as well as identifying opportunities for revenue growth and margin improvement for Rubix.

While knowledge of our products and services is beneficial, it is not essential. Experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment in an operational or commercial role is important—ideal for someone with industrial B2B sales experience or procurement/buying background in heavy industry.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage sales enquiries and input orders into the system
* Deputise for the Insite Manager in their absence
* Maintain customer information within Rubix and customer systems
* Manage work orders from engineering
* Handle enquiries related to stock availability, pricing, back orders, and delivery
* Prepare and follow up on relevant quotes
* Build and develop customer relationships to maximize orders and loyalty
* Communicate with suppliers regarding stock, prices, and delivery issues
* Perform inventory management duties and oversee the Stores
* Prepare customer reports for meetings

Key Skills / Qualifications

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office
* Experience with ERP systems preferred
* SAP experience is advantageous but training will be provided
* Understanding of industrial stores operations preferred, with training available
* Valid driving license
* Proven experience in industrial sales or customer-driven environments
* Excellent communication skills for liaising internally and externally
* Strong commitment to customer service
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
* Enthusiastic, flexible, and self-motivated
