Overview
As an Assistant Deputy Manager, you are part of the management team alongside the Home Manager and the Deputy Manager. At Wood Care Group, the Assistant Deputy provides support to the management team. The role comprises mainly of providing care with assigned supernumerary time to complete management tasks.
We are looking for someone who understands the importance of being hands on with care while ensuring that the shift is well led, and who can support both the day shift and night shift due to being present for handovers.
We ask that you care for our residents as if they are your own family, addressing their Physical, Psychological and Social needs. You will assist residents with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene, dressing and assisting with meals. You will also support the management function by assisting with supervisions, observations, rota planning, medication audits and end-of-month medication tasks.
This is an ideal role for a Senior who is looking to progress to Deputy Manager in a Company that develops internal staff and promotes from within. We are part of a family-run business and our Employees are important to us.

* Previous experience working in a Care Home environment is desirable but not essential.

Other Duties
* Attend Staff Meetings.
* Maintain personal and professional development to meet the changing needs and demands of the home and participate in appropriate training; encourage and support staff in their development and training.
* Ensure safeguarding responsibilities are understood and followed to reduce the risk of abuse or neglect to adults who need care and support; safeguard adults in a way that recognises their choice and control; ensure safeguarding and whistleblowing policies are adhered to at all times.
* Provide evidence of any untaken training.
* Comply with fire procedures and health and safety legislation and work in a safe environment.
* Complete all training as determined by the home.
