Job Summary
Whalton Unit is a 22 bedded ward specialising in care of the elderly, specifically rehabilitation. The main duties of a Nursing Assistant on the ward include assisting patients with all activities of daily living, washing and dressing, promoting independence, assisting with meals ensuring adequate oral intake, and general ward duties.

* Ensuring high standards of care are delivered and met on each shift.
* Working closely with the MDT and clear and concise documentation.
* Undertakes a range of delegated clinical care duties in hospital.
* Records patient observations and changes to patient clinical conditions.
* Carries out limited clinical care duties.

Person Specification
Qualifications / Professional Registration Essential
* Completion of a competency-based programme or equivalent relevant experience
* Level 3 qualification in a healthcare related subject or a portfolio of equivalent demonstrable experience
Experience and Knowledge Essential
* Previous care experience in a health or social care setting
