We're looking for a General Manager to be the driving force behind SEA LIFE Manchester a chance to lead this attraction in an iconic location driving operational excellence unforgettable guest experiences and impactful conservation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver world‑class guest experiences that inspire and educate ensuring visitors leave with lasting memories.
* Champion health safety and security creating a safe magical environment for every guest and team member.
* Lead a passionate diverse team fostering collaboration and celebrating success.
* Develop and execute innovative marketing and business strategies.
* Drive financial performance managing budgets and achieving growth targets.
* Champion conservation through community projects.
This is a permanent full‑time role working 5 out of 7 days. Due to our business being open all year round we require full availability including weekends and bank holidays.
Qualifications & Experience
We're looking for a dynamic driven leader with the vision and skills to inspire teams and deliver exceptional results. You'll bring a commercial mindset operational expertise and a passion for conservation and community.
Essential Skills and Experience
* A proven track record in senior leadership roles ideally at GM level within tourism entertainment or guest‑focused sectors.
* Exceptional people leadership with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team to deliver amazing guest experiences.
* Strong commercial acumen including expertise in budgeting forecasting and driving profitability while maintaining a guest‑first approach.
* Strategic thinking with hands‑on operational experience enabling you to balance day‑to‑day management with long‑term growth planning.
* Commitment to health safety and security ensuring the well‑being of guests and team members at all times.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills fostering collaboration across teams partners and the local community.
* Passion for sustainability and conservation with the ability to champion SEA LIFEs mission to protect marine life and the environment.
* Understanding of Manchesters unique culture and community dynamics is a bonus.
