Are you an empathetic and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant looking to support students with SEMH needs?
GSL Education are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to join a Specialist SEMH School in Ashford. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about supporting children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and is committed to making a positive impact on their education and well-being. This role is ideal for someone with a calm, patient, and proactive approach to supporting children with additional needs.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide individual and group support to students with SEMH needs.
2. Assist in managing behaviour using positive reinforcement strategies.
3. Help students build confidence, resilience, and social skills.
4. Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to implement tailored learning plans.
5. Support students with daily routines and encourage engagement in learning.
Ideal Candidate:
1. Experience working with SEMH, ASD, ADHD, or other SEN students.
2. Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
3. A compassionate and adaptable approach to supporting individual learning needs.
4. An up-to-date CV (covering the last ten years, with any gaps explained).
5. An enhanced DBS registered to the update service, or willingness to apply for one.
6. Must drive and have access to a vehicle.
