Alonzi House Hub provides outreach and residential placements for young people aged 8 up to 18 years old. We also support our foster care team to maintain stability to our young people. The Alonzi Hub has a strong supportive staff and management team. Ofsted ratings for Alonzi House and Willow Vue are Good.
We are looking for people who believe they have the qualities and skills needed to support our children maintain stability either with family or carers.
Responsibilities
* You will be resilient, emotionally and physically fit to perform the role, and able to work flexibly on a rota basis which includes early shifts, late shifts, sleep-ins, weekends and bank holidays. Much of the time you will work in the homes of families.
* The role of the Adolescent Support Unit Worker is broad and varied, akin to parenting in its scope.
* You will work with children and their families who are at risk of placement breakdown in their home and at risk of coming into care.
* Establish and maintain effective working relationships with professionals, children, young people and families as part of a multi-agency team.
* Focus on creating sustainable outcomes of a secure and safe environment in which the child/young person can thrive within the family setting.
Qualifications and requirements
* Qualification: Diploma Level 3 in working with Children and Young People in Residential Care or equivalent.
* Medical Clearance: Pre-placement health assessment (PPHA).
* Essential Car Documentation: This post is a designated Essential Car User; you must hold a full valid driving licence and provide your own car for work. An Essential Car User Allowance is provided.
* DBS clearance: Enhanced DBS check required; information will be handled confidentially in line with DBS Code of Practice. Our policy on the Employment of Ex-Offenders is available upon request.

* Working Hours: 140 hours over a 4-week rota, including bank holidays, weekdays, weekends (2/4 each month), mornings and evenings.
* Contract Type: Full Time, Permanent.
* Fees/Payments: Essential Car Allowance and 10% Flexibility Payment.
