We are currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice Receptionist / Administrator to join our team and support our daily operations.
Job Overview:
This is an exciting opportunity for an individual looking to start their career in office administration and reception. As an Apprentice Receptionist / Administrator, you will gain hands-on experience and receive training in a variety of administrative tasks and customer-facing duties. This apprenticeship will help you develop essential skills that are highly valued in the workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Greet visitors and clients in a professional and friendly manner, ensuring they are directed to the appropriate person or department.
2. Answer incoming phone calls, direct calls to the relevant person, and take accurate messages where necessary.
3. Manage and maintain the reception area, ensuring it is tidy and welcoming.
4. Assist with scheduling appointments, meetings, and room bookings.
5. Perform general administrative duties, such as filing, photocopying, and data entry.
6. Assist with managing incoming and outgoing mail.
7. Support with maintaining office supplies and equipment.
8. Assist with preparing reports, documents, and correspondence as required.
9. Handle basic enquiries from clients, customers, and visitors.
10. Support the wider team with administrative projects and tasks as needed.
11. Maintain confidentiality and ensure all data is handled in line with company policies and procedures.
Skills and Qualifications:
* A keen interest in developing administrative and customer service skills.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
* Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
* A friendly and professional attitude when interacting with clients and visitors.
* Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
* A willingness to learn and develop new skills.
* GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
* This is an apprenticeship position, and you must be eligible for government funding for apprenticeships.
* Ideally, candidates should be between 16 and 24 years old, though applications from individuals of all ages are welcome.
