Job Title: Nursery Practitioner – Early Years (EY) Location: Bridgetown, West Midlands – WV10 Position: Full-Time / Part-Time (Flexible) Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience and qualifications About the Role We are looking for a caring and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join the team at The Old Station Nursery, Bridgetown (WV10). The successful candidate will support children in the Early Years (EY), helping to create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children can learn, play, and develop. You will work closely with qualified nursery staff to deliver high-quality care and education, ensuring each child reaches their full potential. Key Responsibilities Support children aged 0–5 in line with the EYFS framework Assist with planning and delivering engaging play-based learning activities Support children’s social, emotional, and educational development Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating nursery environment Observe and support children’s progress and development Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure high standards of care Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies Requirements Level 3 qualification in Childcare / Early Years (NVQ Level 3, CACHE Level 3 or equivalent) Experience working in a nursery or early years setting Genuine passion for working with young children Good communication and teamwork skills Understanding of the EYFS framework Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures Desirable Paediatric First Aid (or willingness to obtain) Experience supporting children with additional needs Knowledge of child development and early learning strategies What We Offer Supportive and friendly working environment Opportunities for professional development Competitive salary based on experience The opportunity to make a real difference in children’s early education Safeguarding Statement The successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check and provide suitable references in line with safer recruitment practices.
