Role Summary
Infrastructure service consultant is lead technical, architect and consultative resource for IT Operation team and work closely with Operation, Service desk and PMO team to deliver IT Services BAU and Project work and ensure to run smooth IT Services.
Responsibilities
* Monitoring of alerts, replication and review of IS issues.
* 2nd and 3rd line incident and Service request management.
* Root cause analysis and problem management.
* Active directory, DNS, DHCP, File and print services administration and management.
* Supported OpCos IT service administration and management.
* 2nd & 3rd line support for all Wintel, AD, DNS, DHCP, RSA, Certificate Authority, RDWEB, Trillex EPO, Encryption and all services etc.
* Azure AD Connect and ADFS administration and management.
* Perimeter Services & WAN/LAN implementation and support.
* Forti manager and Analyzer administration and management.
* Voice (Mitel cloud PBX) administration.
* Process and technical Documentation.
* Cloud Services administration and management (AWS workspace, O365 License allocation, O365, EMS, SharePoint, MS Team and Intune Administration etc.).
* VMWare & vCenter support, installation, management and maintenance.
* Veeam Backup/restore administration.
* Hardware configuration review and sizing for servers and storages.
* Nimble San and Thecus NAS Support, management and maintenance.
* FTP, Lotus notes client support.
* System center configuration management.
* Apple business manager and mobile device management using Intune.
* Key management services.
* Atlassian Jira administration.
* Basic MS SQL DBA.
* Microsoft power automate, flow knowledge.
Project and Architectural
* Upgrade/Consolidation/merger of different forest Active directory domain, DNS, DHCP, users, groups and security policies.
* Consolidation/merger of application and other services from another domain to parental domain. Like Wi-Fi, SharePoint etc.
* Configuration management for Infra projects.
* Project Management (Assessment, Planning, testing, deployment and go live) for Infra projects like AD migration, AD Consolidation, FW upgrade etc.
* Designing, architecture and capacity planning for infra projects.
* Upgradation of servers from windows 2012/2016 to windows 2019/2022 with their services.
* Deployment and administration of System center configuration manager.
* Microsoft 365 feature, security and compliance deployment and administration.
* Windows 10 feature pack updates.
Application Service/Server support
* Remote desktop services support for CAS CRM, Evatic etc.
* Azure SSO support for S4Hana, IBP, Chrome River etc.
* SQL Server administration and management.
* D365 Administration support.
* One drive administration.
* Sharepoint Intranet site administration.
Functional
* Work in close collaboration with other members of the department and business areas.
* Ensure adherence to existing IT methodologies, technologies, operations, documentation, and quality control standards, policies, procedures, etc.
* Implementation and testing of Proof of Concept solutions based on requirement by business.
* A recognized strong team player known for consistent delivery of quality services.
* Coordination with Onsite and other opcos IS team.
* Applications, OS license governance.
* Purchase coordination.
Experience and Background
Strong technical background with 15 years IT Industry experience 12-year experience interacting directly and at all levels with industry leading customers and working on different infrastructure projects. Experience with managing multiple complex IT Infrastructure projects with multi-disciplined teams Experience with application deployment Experience with Cloud Architecting for AWS and Azure. Hands on experience in Microsoft 365 services including sharepoint and exchange online administration and governance. Experience in public DNS services and domain registration/change. Experience in PKI, KMS services along with NAC. Governance knowledge for enterprise IT.
Technical Competence
Ability to think creatively and apply innovative approaches to business problems and opportunities. Experience in documenting current and future state business/operations processes. Strong ability to present and demonstrate complex procedures to diverse groups. Demonstrated ability to apply a systematic approach to problem solving through analysis of the problem and evaluation of alternative solutions. Strong technical knowledge including client and server operating systems, networking environments and software solutions preferably related to IS. Strong project management skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Project. Strong knowledge of software driver implementation, IP protocol schema and basic network protocols. Excellent skills in MS Office Suite including, word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software.
