About the Role As an FM Building Surveyor, you will be responsible for: • Carrying out detailed property condition surveys to assess defects, life cycles, and advise on necessary repairs and remedial works. • Supporting asbestos management across the estate, including annual inspections and planning the safe removal and replacement of ACMs (Asbestos Containing Materials). • Assisting in the development and maintenance of the Major Works Plan and Health & Safety/Planned Maintenance programmes. • Collaborating closely with internal teams including Estate Management, Commercial, Operations, and our Managed Services division. • Ensuring compliance across all building maintenance activities and providing feedback to guarantee works meet required specifications and standards. • Keeping up to date with industry advancements, including new technologies, construction methods, and survey techniques. • Assisting the Facilities Management team with contractor quote reviews, ensuring alignment with agreed rates and service levels. • Supporting senior FM management with benchmarking external providers to ensure we consistently achieve value for money. What We’re Looking For Qualifications: Degree educated, RICS/CIOB/MICE qualified (or extensive experience). Experience: Multi-site FM, civil/structural engineering, landlord/tenant legislation, and car park maintenance strategies. Technical Knowledge: CDM regulations, CAFM systems, asbestos legislation. Skills: Problem-solving, negotiation, and project management. Driver’s License: Full UK driving license required. Why Join Us?
