The Role The school is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Attendance Officer to play a key role in improving and maintaining high levels of student attendance. This is a vital position within the pastoral team, requiring strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with students, families and staff. You will be responsible for monitoring attendance data, identifying patterns and implementing strategies to support students with low attendance. Key Responsibilities Monitor daily attendance and ensure accurate recording Analyse attendance data and identify trends or concerns Follow up on absences with parents and carers Work closely with pastoral staff to support students with attendance issues Maintain detailed and accurate records Produce attendance reports for senior leadership Support safeguarding procedures related to attendance Liaise with external agencies where required Requirements Previous experience in an attendance, pastoral or administrative role Strong data analysis and IT skills Excellent communication and relationship-building skills Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism Highly organised with strong attention to detail Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing Why Join This School?
