Stores Person Full time – Permanent Goole, onsite The Role: As a Stores Person, you’ll play a key role in keeping operations running smoothly by managing inventory, receiving and issuing materials, and maintaining accurate records. You’ll ensure storage areas are safe and organised, oversee stock control and equipment management, and support compliance with health and safety standards. This hands-on role also involves managing BULB asset software, assisting with inspections, and providing support for forklift operations, alongside responsibilities for laptop, booking, and stock management. What you’ll be doing: Inspect and verify incoming deliveries against purchase orders. Ensure quality and quantity accuracy of received items. Monitor inventory levels and conduct regular stock checks. Update records to prevent shortages or overstocking. Correctly store items to ensure easy access, safety, and compliance with storage guidelines. Dispense goods to relevant departments or customers according to requisitions. Maintain accurate records of stock movements, including receipts, transfers, and disposals, using the BULB asset management system. Assist in the preparation and processing of equipment orders. Liaise with suppliers to replenish inventory as needed. Ensure the storage and office areas are clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations. Participate in stock audits and reconcile discrepancies between physical stock and system records. Report to the Line Manager on stock levels, shortages, and equipment availability. Coordinate the procurement of required tooling/equipment and consumables. Issue purchase orders and coordinate deliveries. Implement measures to prevent theft, loss, and unauthorised access to the site. What we’re looking for: Ability to use inventory systems, and MS Excel, Word applications Ability to maintain clean, error-free records. Checking quantities and quality of goods received. Avoiding stock discrepancies and maintaining accuracy. Prioritising tasks such as receiving, storing, and issuing materials efficiently. Proper labelling, binning, and shelf arrangement. Handling incoming and outgoing stock. Conducting regular stock counts and stocktaking. Operating warehouse equipment (pallet jacks, forklifts—if certified, if not willing to get trained). Possess a current Forklift operator license or be willing to train to attain one. Experience maintaining accurate stock records and documentation. Why join us?
